The Hut is the unique year-round after-school component of Haygood Child Development Center, serving the needs of kindergarten through 5th grade students for over 20 years. The Hut operates year-round with a program from June through May. It is a place where children learn to explore, develop independence, enjoy outside time and build on their problem-solving skills. Students enjoy homework assistance and free play outside in a creative atmosphere where they are able to engage with their peers and learn from each other. The Hut is a year-round Monday-Friday from 2:30PM-6:00PM and a full day program from 7:30AM-6:00PM during most public school breaks. Hut days during school breaks are referred to as Full Hut days. Lunch is provided on all Full Hut days.
