Who We Are
Welcome to Haygood Weekday Children’s Ministries! Thank you for looking into our programs. We have operated since 1970,
and for five decades, we have enriched the lives of children in our community with love and education.
Currently, we offer four programs:
Our Child Development Center is a full-day program for children ages six weeks through Pre-K. Our year-round hours of operation are 7:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Our Half-Day Preschool offers classes for children ages twelve months through six years. Our hours of operation during the traditional school year are 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. (we also offer enrichment programs through Haygood UMC’s Recreation Department for children three years and up).
Our after-school program, The HUT, offers care year-round for elementary school-age children, from the end of the school day until 6:00 P.M. During the school breaks and through the summer, the HUT offers full-day programming for currently enrolled children.
Every summer, we offer five weeks of summer camp for children ages two years through six years. Camp hours of operation are 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Haygood Weekday Children’s Ministries is accredited through SACS/AdvancEd. Early learning schools awarded AdvancED Accreditation not only meet educational standards, but also provide the safe, encouraging and nurturing environment so critical to the development of young children. Put simply, early learning schools that have earned AdvancED Accreditation meet recognized standards of quality, impact children’s lifelong learning and support young children in the highest regard. AdvancED Performance Accreditation for Early Learning Schools motivates schools to continuously improve on behalf of the young children they serve.
