The curriculum for 3s and young 4s focuses on social and emotional development. In this age group, children begin to develop problem solving skills, independent choice-making skills and creativity. Children begin identifying likes and dislikes, choose to explore through play and assess social cues. An orientation to discuss the 3s/young 4s’ curriculum goals for the fourth and fifth year of learning is led by the school’s curriculum advisor and lead teacher.

• This classroom accepts children ages 3 years to 4 years.
• The class ratio is 8:1.
• The 3s/4s class runs on a structured schedule with a monthly theme. Emphasis is placed on academic learning through play.
• Children in this class receive music instruction in the music classroom two times per week.
• Spanish instruction is provided two times per week.
