When should I apply for admission to the Child Development Center?

Registration  is available online from December 15th-January 31st for the upcoming school year that starts June 1. Applications for the program may only be submitted during this registration period. Families are notified in February of their application status. Families who are not admitted are offered to stay on the CDC waitlist for the school year. The Child Development Center does not offer a rolling admissions process. In the event of an opening at anytime during the school year, families on the waitlist are contacted by the Director to accept the available spot.

What are the Child Development Center hours of operations?

The Child Development Center is open from 7:30 am – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday. It is a year-round program and the school year is from June through May.  The CDC  is closed only on major holidays and teacher training days.

 

Do you offer carpool?

Haygood Child Development Center does not offer carpool; however, we do have a drive-up lane that is available during specific times, for short visits during the morning and afternoon. The drive-up lane is NOT available from 8:45 am – 9:15 am and from 12:45 am – 1:15 pm, Monday through Friday. During those hours, the Preschool runs its carpool sessions. Parents are required to sign their children in and out each day. Parents must drop off and pick up from the classroom.

 

What enrichment programs are offered?

The Child Development Center offers music to all enrolled children. Spanish is offered to students 2 and older and science is offered to children 3 and older.
